"Your love never fails, it never gives up, never runs out on me.
And on and on it comes, it overwhelms and satisfies my soul
and i never ever have to be afraid, cause this one thing remains.
Your love never fails."

Alive and Free

I love those words. Not just for what they mean but how they make me feel, and not just physically either, but spiritually too. I feel so alive. For one thing, the sun is back YAY(-:  and to top that off its Friday too! But also God. There's something about knowing he has complete control of anything and everything that makes me feel free. And knowing someone so powerful would want to be my best friend, its so refreshing. I've been feeling a little dry lately. But just reading his word and praying gives me so much hope and it makes me so happy. Cause even though this might be a flat valley i will make it to the mountain top so to speak and it'll all make sense, and even if it doesn't, just trusting God is such a reassuring thing. Like let go. Its so simple and its so hard. But i'll tell you, when you do there's so much more ahead. God has such a complex mind and its so much higher than anything we can think of. And often so much more enjoyable, if only we let him do his thing...

But anyway.
1 Peter 1:6-9
In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

think about it, 1) rejoice in your suffering and 2) Have a genuine faith. It praises God, and on top of that, if you love and believe in him you will be filled with extreme Joy. Because you are receiving the result of your faith through all trials. Knowing that you will be saved and spend eternal life in bliss with god.

Satisfying huh? Ya, i'd say so. So if I can encourage you with anything its this. Even though there are hard times, and though sometimes it can seem like God isn't even present anymore, know this: He will never give up on you, if only WE DON'T GIVE UP ON HIM. Because he has so SO much in store for us if we hang in there. He wants to help you through it. He literally says cast all your burdens onto me. So i challenge you to try it, you have everything to gain.

 And it's freeing

Starting somewhere

Hello everyone! My names Abigail, your average highschooler trying to make it in this world. First off I want to say that Christ is the most important thing in my life and he's the reason im doing this too, im not exactly sure where this will go but here goes nothing.

So today I was streaming passion online, (Which is this completely awesome conference filled with encouragement and hope and sharing Christ. If you ever have the opportunity to go or even listen, I totally suggest you do!) So anyway, this speaker was talking about how were all created in the image of God. And how God in of himself is a community because he is three in one. And he was saying how we as humans aren't meant to be alone cause if we are created in the image of God, and he is community himself its literally impossible for us to be alone. We were specifically made by God to be in community and interact with one another....

So that got me thinking. If i want to do something with my life and really live for Christ that means impacting people, and in whatever way possible, in addition to in person. I want to work in ministry when i get older and i thought, hey why not start something now. God himself said not to look down on anyone just because of their age. So this is it, here I go. I have no idea what im doing, but thats okay, does anyone really ever have any idea of what will happen? Nope, only God! Ill be blogging my thoughts on the word and just my journey through life in hope to encourage anyone who reads this. I'll be kept more accountable to keep up with my bible studies and if i find something compelling ill share. Feel free to comment anything you like! The sole reason for this blog is Christ.

Here we go!
